ABC’s B & B Program

We are accepting inquiries about being a B&B fundraiser host as we hope to resume next year.

What do we offer?

This is a unique type of Bed & Breakfast experience, because we open our homes in Andover as a way to raise funds for the Andover A Better Chance Program. Friends of ABC of Andover host an out-of-town Phillips Academy parent or family in a comfortable guest bedroom or suite for one or two nights, or more depending on the hosts' availability. Although the host for the weekend usually offers continental breakfast, Phillips Academy also offers all meals so some visitors choose that option instead. All locations offer WiFi and are within minutes of Phillips Academy campus. 

What is the cost?

Guests pay the going hotel rates in the form of a check to ABC but they get a home environment, a location that is often closer to the school and they get to meet a local family. Rates are $120/night for a double with a private bath, $115/night for a shared bath, $105/night for a single with a private bath, $100/night for a shared bath. Payment can be made as checks written to A Better Chance of Andover, or as online payments via our donation portal or as cash. Any extra contribution is tax deductible.

Whom do I contact?

Dianne Domenech-Burgos is the Bed & Breakfast program coordinator who matches guests and hosts to ensure the right mix of beds and to avoid any problems with pet allergies. Dianne can also review the criteria for becoming a Bed & Breakfast host.
